ArtRage is a painting package created to provide a realistic and fun simulation of using paint on a canvas, along with pens, pencils, crayons, and other tools. You can run ArtRage on a normal Windows machine with a mouse, but it works particularly well if you have a graphics tablet. Even better, running ArtRage on a TabletPC takes advantage of the exclusive interaction of pen and screen to produce a realistic painting feel. ArtRage is all about playing with paint without the mess, and having fun in the process. You can paint your own image from a blank canvas to completed work, or load in a picture to trace and have the tools pick their colours for you as you paint over it. It give a few of drawing tools, including chalk, crayon, felt pen, pencil and oil paint, as well as a virtual palette knife and different canvas style to choose from. It even comes with a virtual water glass to dip your paint brush... and can even load an image of your choice as use it as virtual trace paper for your painting. The interface is nicely maked and give maximum work space while keeping all tools and option smoothly accessible. You can use ArtRage with a mouse, but it works particularly well if you have a graphics tablet, or even a TabletPC. The paintings can be saved or exported to JPG, BMP, PNG format. The product is free to use and has not time limitations. However some tools and pluses are only available in the full version, although it still permit unlimited loading, saving, printing etc.
