Winamp

Winamp is player for audio and video files. Is associated with MP3 music files ,but is playing other extensions,too.Has incorporated a media library and you can manage items here .Can choose skin and visualization and add audio effects .Can play songs sorted in a specific order or shuffle.

Main menu have: (Ctrl+P):
1. General Preferences: select your language , select internet connection (LAN,DSL,Cable), check for new updates, show in taskbar or system tray
a. file types, set a selection (default are CDA, FLAC, MID, MIDI, MP3, amf, okt, WMA, WMV etc), choose the size of the icons for music files who are on hard disk or are playing
b.titles, format the appearance of music files (by artist,title.music title)
c.playback, use 24 bit, surround, stereo or mono sounds
d.video, can see videos in full screen or resize the video..

Winamp keyboard shortcuts: Play=Ctrl+Alt+Instert, Pause=Ctrl+Alt+Home, Stop=Ctrl+Alt+End, volume up, volume down, forward, rewind, jump to box, next track, previous track etc.

At skins it has Classic (base skin is v5.35, very popular for music MP3 fans), enable or disable built in visualization, disable SEH Have on the screen the following features: Shuffle, used for random or a specific order to play music. Toogle Repeat ,repeat the entire list from the beginning,after is finished. Equalizer, set to Auto or manual configuration.

Have preset button were you can select a genre for the music sounds (club, dance, pop, party, rock, techno, reggae).

Equalizer allows to select the level of the bass or treble, high, medium or low sounds. Can open Windows Media Audio formats,compressed MIDI,MPEG Audio files(mp3, mp2, mp1), video files (WMV) and advanced streaming format. Winamp, created by Nullsoft Inc in 1997, is the most popular software for play audio mp3 files.
