DC++ is an free open-source file sharing client, written in C++ for the Direct Connect protocol originally developed by John Hess, that allows you to share files over the internet with other users. In comparison with other similar software,is more stable.Do not need very big memory and resources.Runs easily and quiet. You can connect to many hubs at same time and search for files from all of them with same search.A big advantage is you can continue downloading the same file from other users if somebody leaves.You are not depending anymore if the server is offline because automatically connect to other host.

Can use general chat to see status,new members who are on the server and make discussions.You have a list with hubs were you can connect.Some of them require a minimum of hard disk space to be shared.Share your files and search in other files shared the informations you want.In DC++ can search after desired keywords and a list with files will appear.Will see the sockets and number of users connected to every file .Passive or active mode can be enabled..Requires 11 MB for installation , space available on HDD.

Can set favorite user or hubs,manage files before and while downloading,see status of queue and uploads.Always you will know how much time remains until the operation will be finished ,for every file.You need to complete your nick,an email address line speed and to share some folders with useful content.Is not allowed to share operating system folders,for example.If you not respect the rules,can be banned from a specific server.
