XChat is an IRC (chat) program for Windows and Linux . I.R.C. is Internet Relay Chat, see http://irchelp.org for more information about IRC in general.You choose from a list of servers and connect to it.Than join a channel were you will talking using your nickname.You have settings for interface ,chatting and network.Have options for ban list,character chart,direct chat,file transfer,friends list,ignore,plugins and scripts,raw log,url grabber and search tool.

In advanced settings can use auto replace,dialog buttons,keyboard shortcuts,user commands and userlist popup.You have at your disposal a list of networks and can join one of them.Click connect and you can talk online in a chat room.Design is very simple and this program run fast.
