FileZilla is a powerful FTP-client for Windows NT4, 2000 and XP. It has been designed for ease of use and with support for as many features as possible, while still being fast and reliable. Is a FTP software developed by Tim Kosse.There are 2 modes : Sever and Client.
File Zilla options are:
a. file
FileZilla File have Site manager main option . Here you can add a new site : insert ftp address at host , select the server type ,choose the type of authentication (normal mode require username and password). Than press OK and the new entry is saved.You can rename,delete or copy the entry.Click Connect to enter in the FTP database.
b. edit
FileZilla edit menu have a lot of options related to FTP connection settings.
- connection (active or passive mode , FTP proxy). In active mode you can connect using a specific IP address.FTP proxy have options for host,user and password .
- set the maximum number of simultaneous transfers ,limit for downloads or uploads in Transfers.
window.Use interrogation options (overwrite,restore,rename and skip).
- interface allow you to use different themes
c. transfer
- select the transfer type for this tool between ASCII and binary.
d. server
- have Connect,Disconnect or configure a command.

If you need to transfer files in secure mode File Zilla will help you (is a FTP and file sharing software like CuteFTP).
It is different by file sharing programs (Utorrent,Limewire etc) because do not have multimedia options ,is a web development tool for specialists . File sharing programs are for entertainment and fun ,in most cases.
