TextAloud

TextAloud is a text To speech tool. Bookmarks are special tags recognized by TextAloud used for marking positions in an article. Bookmarks can be used to help with editing long articles, and also for skipping portions of text when speaking the article aloud.Pause tags may be inserted into TextAloud articles, causing voices to pause for an interval you specify. In addition, TextAloud can be configured to automatically generate pauses at the end of each sentence and/or paragraph.
Voice change tags are used to cause TextAloud to change voices while speaking an article. These tags may be used when speaking text aloud or to an audio file, and are commonly used to create a dialog effect as text is spoken.

In Single-Article Mode, each article copied into TextAloud replaces the previous article. Use this mode if you want to listen to individual articles as they are copied from the Windows Clipboard. In this mode you also have the option of having TextAloud automatically read articles as they are copied.The Predefined Pauses panel allows you to set the pause intervals for automatically generated pauses.
Skins are files that can change the appearance of a program. Using the Skins Panel, you can select and test alternative looks for the TextAloud window, where the window colors and window borders/buttons are changed to offer a variety of looks to the program.The Engines / Voices panel is used to configure the speech engines and voices used by TextAloud.
