Your Math Buddy - General Math was designed to gauge a student €™s scope based on addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The ultimate goal is to stay in touch with the student and interact with his/her progress. While the student is advancing so should the scope of the testing environment. In today €™s world computers and calculators were designed to do the thinking for us. €œYour Math Buddy €� was designed to make the student think! While a student advances into more complex math functions, they should be able to have all four general math functions memorized without having to figure out or count on their fingers. Your Math Buddy is programmed to allow students only the time allocated by the teacher/parent to solve an equation. If you allocate too much time for each equation, it defeats the purpose for which this program was designed. Your Math Buddy will force a student to memorize the equation and progress in the four general math functions. Like any good educational tool, the chain is only as strong as its weakest link. A student will benefit more from having teachers and parents interact with their progress. The more time a student will vest into understanding the basics of mathematics, the longer term effects while moving on to college and advanced placement mathematics will be an easier process.
