Streamerp2p is a small app for listening to and broadcasting internet radio. It uses a p2p relaying system to take most of the bandwidth load off the main server, so allowing broadcasting to theoretically unlimited listeners for virtually nothing. Its effectively bittorrent for streams. Features: stations list, chat rooms, internal or external player, Winamp plugin for integration with shoutcast-type streams, and an activex applet for embedding on web pages. Use it to do your podcast live. DJ to your frends/clan. Do live chat shows using skype to conference your co-hosts, do phone-in shows and take callers, again using skype. Play your bands music. Spread the word of your favoured diety. Play copyright music (with the appropriate licencing in your jurisdiction), play podsafe and public domain music for free. Home of TalkRadioX and A Minor Threat show. A closed network/private/subscription version is available for a negociable fee, as is use by commercial broadcasters who want to reduce hosting costs.
