In other words, DOSBox allows to run applications made for DOS, applications that doesn't work in newer versions of Windows (after XP).
Unfortunately, new technology doesn't support very old DOS applications, such as games. But there are many old applications that are still interesting and have their own flavor, even the time has passed.
DOSBox is a program that once installed, offers a command line where you can mount drives to work as DOS environment.
It provides support for CD-ROM, basic mount and special keys.

Is a good solution to play games or run application that are older. Play a little with the program to learn a few basic commands, because you don't need to learn more. It contains a README.txt file with instructions in installation folder.
