Installation Licensing Back to Top Print Manager Plus 2008 Standard is licensed per a print server. It covers unlimited users on the domain(s) and unlimited printers on the print server. An unlimited Academic site license covers one organization, and one or further domains within the same Active Directory Forest. Multiple un-trusted domains or multiple organizations are not licensed when using this licensing scheme. When purchasing for a Microsoft Cluster setup a license must be purchased for each physical node. Print Manager Plus 2008 Standard Small Business Edition is the full product but is limited to monitoring no further than 5 Printers and 35 Users. Optional: The Workstation Connected Printer Agent is licensed per workstation that has a locally connected printer that needs to be managed. The first is a full setup which installs the Print Manager Plus service on the print server and the administrator interface and reports as one setup. The second install option only installs the Administrator interface and reports, which would be installed on the Administrators workstation. The Print Manager Plus service is comprised of records and the database which actively run live on the print server capturing all print jobs. The database may also be remotely setup on another machine. The Print Manager Plus Administrator comprises of records which make up the interface and reporting tools used for administration of the product. * Silent install records exist for all install options and can be made available upon request. Database Options Back to Top Print Manager Plus gives you three database options upon install and will automatic setup the database selected. Currently Print Manager Plus supports Microsoft Access, MSDE, SQL 2005 Express, and SQL 7.0, 2000, 2005 These setup options are: * Create a Local Microsoft Access Database – Light Printing Load Recommended for one print server and printing up to 750 print jobs a day. * Create a Local SQL 2005 Express Database – Medium Printing Load Recommended for one print server printing up to 5,000 print jobs per a day. * Create a Print Manager Plus database on an Existing SQL 7.0/2000/2005 Server Recommended for one or multiple print servers printing unlimited jobs per a day.
