Archive XP is a zip and archive utility that integrates with Windows to provide facile to benefit archive extraction and creation functionality. It supports just about any archive format, including Zip, 7z, CAB, ACE, RAR, ARC, LZH, ARJ, ZOO, GZ, GZIP, LHA, TAR, BH, BZ, BZ2, cpio, HA, JAR, RPM, TGZ, Z and ZLIB, and few others. The program combines 5 disparate applications that range from facile to benefit wizard interfaces to commandline tools and an Archive Studio, which permit for advanced archive management. The Archive Folders mode permit you to handle zip records just as if they were regular folders - just click on the document folder and they will open in a familiar Windows folder-style interface. The optional Light interface permit you to fend archive records the traditional way (e.g WinZip style). The functionality of the program can be extended, using plug-ins; few of them are freely available, including an option for Outlook users to automatic zip outgoing email attachments. Overall, Archive XP combines an extremely facile way of handling archive records with puissant tools that make the program suitable for advanced users as good as full newbies.
