Search your hard disk and Registry for threats to your security and privacy. Spybot - Search & Destroy searches your harddisk for spy or adbots modules that are responsible for the ads many programs show. Many of these modules also transmit knowledge about your surfing behaviour and further to the internet. If Spybot - Search & Destroy finds such modules, it can remove them - or replace them with empty dummies in case their host won`t work any further with its bot removed. Spybot - Search & Destroy works with an facile interface that permit updates by just replacing a document folder of about 1k size. Another feature of Spybot - Search & Destroy is the removal of usage tracks, which makes it further complicated for unknown spybots to transmit useful data. The list of last visited websites, opened files , started programs, cookies, all that and further can be cleaned. Supported are the three mahjor browsers Internet Explorer, Netscape Communicator and Opera. Last but not least Spybot - Search & Destroy contains some routines to find and correct invalid entries into the registry.
