The free version of the program includes two searching modes, allowing you to use standard criteria applicable regardless of the file type such as duplicate content, name, size or date, or add specific criteria like ID tags (artist, title, album) if you search for audio files.
You can combine several criteria and perform searches on multiple directories at once (including subfolders), add exclusion/inclusion filters or limit the search by specifying files dates or a min/max file size.
The duplicates found are displayed in groups and as options, you can remove items and/or columns from the list, filter the scan results and delete, move the marked ones or create hard links, rename files, preview pictures, open selected folders in Explorer and export results to CSV format.
Bottom line:
The program is easy to use and does a great job when it comes to locate and get rid of duplicate files.
