Conexant Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in semiconductor system solutions for digital information and home entertainment networks, introduced the industrys first dial-up modem chip with support for Intels High Definition Audio (HD Audio) bus architecture audio standard.
The CX11254 is the first in a family of planned products. It uses the HD Audio bus (formerly know by the code name Azalia) to transmit data between an internal narrowband modem and notebook and desktop computers. It is shipping in sample quantities to customers now.
