You can save a lot of space on your disk using Caesium. It supports batch processing and regarding compression options, these include quality adjustments and resolution changes (percentage or absolute resizing).
One can apply same compression level for all photos or make individual settings. Either way, all changes made (new size, new resolution, quality) will be displayed in the files list, in separate columns, along with the original values.
Caesium allows you to preview each image, before and after compression (in two separate windows) and can automatically delete the original files from disk. Compressed images can be saved as JPGs, PNGs or BMPs.
