WorldWide Telescope comes with a large collection of images from NASA’s sophisticated space telescopes like Hubble, Chandra and Spitzer and others organized in astronomical categories such as Sky Surveys, Constellations or Named Stars.
You can choose between different types of view like Earth, Planet, Sky or Panorama and select the imagery you want to explore – click and drag the view, zoom in and out, rotate and tilt the field of view.
There is also possible to change the FOV (field of view) to a location of your choice by entering a new city (including latitude, longitude and altitude) as your observing location.
Additionally, you can download and watch several guided tours to learn more about different nebulas, planets, asteroids, black holes, observe galaxies and solar eclipses or you can create your own tours of exploration.
WorldWide Telescope is certainly a great application for exploring and understanding the universe as it offers a plethora of images, guided tours and other useful information that will enrich your virtual experience.
